I bought a second hand TR3A bodyshell to replace the original one and was modifying it when I had a detached retina.
I thought it was unsafe to do any more grinding and welding in case I had problems with my good eye, so the
car was sold. I later saw that it had been restored to an excellent condition. I think it won some TR register
concours competitions, which I was very pleased with.
